SuperSkills Training Program
Our LFC SuperSkills program is focused primarily on improving and teaching the core skills of football to our MiniRoos players.
Whilst skill development is is the primary objective, we also have a centric focus on creating enjoyable, engaging and competitive training sessions which inspire and cultivate a love for football.
The program runs according to a set curriculum with a different focus each week. It is an optional extra and requires the participation of the majority of the team to join.
SuperSkills Information
Q. Who can sign up for SuperSkills?
A. All Mixed and Girls MiniRoos social team players, aged between U6-U11. (Those in development squad teams have separate training that players will already be attending)
Q. How does the Program run?
A. Each session has multiple teams training at the same time. This allows the players to learn and train with a range of players, whilst still specifically training with their match-day team. Multiple drills are set up around the field with a different coach at each station to guide the players through that specific drill. Teams rotate through each drill completing a full set in each session. The benefit of this is higher player engagement whilst maintaining focus for short sessions of time, enabling the coaches to teach a variety of skills within the hour. The Superskills program also attempts to teach players basic game day tactics, including positioning and shape.
Q. Can I Sign Up as an individual rather than with my team?
A. Superskills is a team based training session. The team has to agree which training time and day works best for the majority. To sign up, there must be a minimum of 6 players attending. The manager will then coordinate the team booking and apply for the preferred slot. If your child cannot make that time we will do our best to accomodate you in another session with another team, however it is dependant upon player numbers. The best option is to try and fit with the agreed time the majority of the team can make.
Q. What are the Expectations of Players?
A. There is no skill level expectation of our MiniRoos Player’s the coaching team adjust the program accordingly. HOWEVER, there is an expected Code of Player Behaviour for our MiniRoos players participating in the SuperSkills program. It can be found here. Please ensure you share it with your child.
Q. I’ve Sign Up to Preseason Skills Program, is this same, do I need to Sign Up again?
A. SuperSkills training runs throughout the playing season and is team based training. The Preseason Skills Program runs for 4 weeks during March before games commence. It is for individuals who want to freshen up their skills and get match ready before games commence. These are separate training programs and you must Sign Up to each.

Notes
You must be the nominated team manager to sign up your team for SuperSkills.
Team managers must liaise with all team members and confirm their commitment before applying for a time slot. Ensure that the majority of your team will be participating in SuperSkills before signing up. A minimum of 6 team members must sign up for the team to participate in this program
If you don’t yet have a Team Manager, this is a very good time to agree who will take on this role and the other roles within the team - it takes a team of parents to run a team of footballers!. The season is getting close to start date and the communication of information is essential to ensure your team does not miss out on any opportunities, including a SuperSkills training slot.
